Are there any Architecture schools in Wisconsin? I want to go to school fo architecture and it's all very confusing for me as to how long I have to go, for instance the local Madison Area Technical College offers a 2 year program but I know that it takes 5 to 6 years to get either a Bachelor of Architecture or a Masters of Architecture. So far, I've heard from M.A.T.C. that the two year program transfers to University Wisconsin in Milwaukee, but I'm not sure. What do you think about the architecture of schools and universities? The building of my university has small windows with some offices and classrooms having no windows at all. The ceilings are typically low and the corridors are narrow. To me that is kind of depressing. Especially the lack of windows. I wonder, could this have long-term effects on our wellbeing? I noticed that similar principles are used in building elementary and middle schools. What is your opinion on the subject?

Which are the best architecture schools in Europe? The US has very good schools, but they OVER CHARGE the tuition. i actually liked cooper union (full scholarship for all accepted students), but the living expenses in manhattan are waaaay too high (im not american so i cant apply for fafsa or wutever) . i've seen schools in france where tuition is practically FREE (yay!), so i would like to know which schools are best for architecture. i speak spanish, english, french and a little italian. so anywhere in europe where those languages are used in the school would be nice. i can learn a language but i want to transfer already. Also, where can i get scholarships?! im a good student, and i've seen other people getting scholarships but i have no idea where to look for them!!! i believe i have a very good portfolio (architecture stuff). any suggestions ? thanx! BTW im from Ecuador (Southamerica) oh and besides my portfolio being good, my GPA is fairly good too : 3.8.... i wanted it to be 4 , but im a human being...lol im not in Cooper Union, I WISH! im in an university in Ecuador, it has good design studios but i think that im not learning well from the other subjects...
Where can I find a picture of an original historical architecture plan? I have an assignment at my architecture school to find a copy or a photogrphy of an architecture plan (construction of a building) older than the era between 750 ac - 1250 ac This plans are really rare and hard to find (they burned them all because the constuction of buildings was a highly protected secret then), I've been searching for 2 days and I'm really desperate. There are some maps in museum of Louvre but they are not exhibited and are not available for public.
Best Schools for Pre-Architecture Study? My son would like to get a degree in Architecture. What is the best coursework to take as an undergrad, and what schools might be the best in the midwest? Is Architecture School harder than Civil Engineering? I've been accepted to the U of A School of Architecture, and I already have a degree in computer aided drafting. I also worked at a local civil engineering firm for a year and a half. I did learn some interesting stuff as a drafter, but I only scratched the surface. Basically I was wondering if civil engineering is harder than architecture? Personally I'd rather be an Architect than a Civil Engineer. Should I change my major? What's your opinion?
