changing major to landscapig architecture - advices for portfolio? I am a civil engineer and I have been working in a landscaping & Irrigation company in Dubai for 1 year. Now I want to apply for master of landscaping architecture. I found some universities offer M.L.A for students graduated in other majors. I have to submit a portfolio. I got some oil paintings, photographs and some small 3D Landscape designed by software (Realtime Landscaping pro3). Are these enough for a portfolio? I don’t know what do universities expect my portfolio to be?
Project based on Landscape Architecture - Need Help....? The title says it all - I need a help with my Personal Project that is based on Landscape Architecture.. I'm going to design sketches of a Park, and I would like to know what type of Software(s) or Comp. Programme(s) I should use to do this? There are points that should be known firstly: 1) I'm also going to possibly (Not yet sure) to take a real empty land in Jakarta (This park is going to be based in Jakarta) to base my "Sketches of Park" (I'm not actually making the Park, only designing - planning it).. 2) I'm going to add some Indonesia Cultures - Elements onto the Park, so I would have to also sketch some wooden carvings or the kind.. And lastly, I have another question: Do you think in my position that it would be better for me to sketch my Parks with the Computer or Manually (With hands, writing tools and paper)? Just so you know, I'm not a Tech - Savvy person, however, I can draw quite well.. The best option would be to draw it by hands (For me), but, would that be a bad idea for this Personal Project? Thanks for your help :)
Is it possible to teach myself about Architecture online & then take an exam to qualify me? Or could I draw up my own plans for development and then get them signed off by an Architect? I am skilled in using Landscape Garden Design software but frequently have to draw up either existing buildings or make up my own designs for artistic impressions. However, I would love to be able to build some of my creations - buying land & building on it, but concerned about Health & Safety issues as well as technical issues. Any comments/suggestions are much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Looking for software like Google Sketchup? I want to make out some environments, landscapes, and terrains with some type of 3d modelling software. Somewhat like Google Sketchup only much better...Sketchup is very clunky and lacks options. Option create custom buildings and architectures (like sketchup) is a huge plus. Thanks! If it's free great, if it's very expensive, then that's also fine.
Hello, I'm in college right now and I am thinking to be an architect, but there is so much architecture jobs architecture jobs as project architect, landscape architect, Licensed Architect, Solutions Architect, Data Warehouse Architect, Enterprise Architect, Software Architect , J2EE Architect , Technical Architect, Information Architect, Senior Application Architect, and Java Architect. If someone know the difference between them, can you please tell me a different between all them and what they do, in a very brief information or any clues about the. There so many, and I'm confused about what I have to pick. Thank You.
future job?? well i was thinking in school because in school at the moment we are doing those "plan for your future" things and i was thinking what a good job would be for me i really like landscape architecture computers (finding things out about thier software) and animals so i got confused because those are all completely different things. my question is what kind of job would be perfect for me (i came here because i don't think many people have jobs in 8th grade so i cant ask my friends and other people lol)
Architect software??? Okay, I am going to be thirteen this year, and I am VERY into architecture, and I want a good, cheap software under 100 dollars (please, if possible), that makes houses that look like the software they use on HGTV. Now, I am very smart, and I would really like a good software for my age, that I can build a very detailed home. I already have the Sims 2 for PC, and that is great, but I would like something where I can make exact measurements and exact details, and landscaping, and just everything. Thanks!
Best 3D software? I want Architecture, Interior Design and Landscaping in 3D rendering and animation, want sharp clean image, which is best and easier to learn? Maya or Solidwork or???
I need help picking an Engineering field for a project? i need to choose any one of them i want it to be easy to research yet fun i cant choose mechanical or electrical just scan over it Acoustical engineering Aquatic and environmental engineering Aerospace (Aeronautical) engineering Agricultural engineering Architectural engineering Automotive engineering (automotive systems engineering) Biological engineering Biological systems engineering Biomedical engineering Biomaterials engineering Bioresource engineering Ceramic engineering Chemical engineering Civil engineering Coastal engineering Combat engineering Communications system engineering Computer engineering Computer science (considered a field of engineering in some countries) Construction engineering Control engineering (control systems engineering) Cost engineering Earthquake engineering Ecological engineering Electrical engineering Electronics engineering (includes microelectronics engineering, microelectronics and semiconductor engineering) Electromechanical engineering Engineering science and mechanics Engineering physics (engineering science) Environmental engineering Computational finance (financial engineering) Fire protection engineering Food engineering Forensic engineering Forest engineering Genetic engineering Geomatics engineering Geotechnical engineering Hydraulic engineering Industrial engineering (includes production engineering) Information engineering Instrumentation engineering Integrated engineering Landscape engineering (landscape architecture) Marine engineering Materials engineering (includes metallurgical engineering) Mechanical engineering Manufacturing engineering Mechatronics Microsystems engineering Military engineering Minerals process engineering Mineral engineering Mining engineering Nanoengineering Neural engineering Naval architecture Nuclear engineering Optical engineering Ocean engineering Packaging engineering Paper engineering Photovoltaics engineering Petroleum engineering Plastics engineering Polymer engineering Power engineering Process engineering Quality engineering (quality assurance engineering) Reliability engineering Safety engineering Sanitation engineering Security engineering Sewage engineering Software engineering Structural engineering Surveying Systems engineering (systems design engineering) Textile engineering Thermodynamic engineering Tissue engineering Traffic engineering Transportation engineering (transport engineering) Vacuum engineering Value engineering
Which of these subjects don't have any maths in them? or at least about 10% of Maths in them.
