research about gothic architecture:we have to write our proposal by specifing subject by following questions?

WHAT? What question do you specifically intend to focus on? WHY? Why do you think this is an important subject to raise? HOW? This is very important. It relates to how you are going to investigate your subject? What is the best way to help you discuss the problem and to arrive to your conclusion? What examples will you use? And which architect’s work will best allow you to explore the research question? For example, you may choose to illustrate, analyze and interpret three buildings. Or you may do a comparative study between two or three buildings/ architects?

1. How about the evolution of the flying buttress? Ability to build larger and taller cathedral walls without sacrificing the amount of windows. Style of the buttress itself as form contributes to function. The great thing, is they changed over time, artistic additions that improved load-bearing ability.
