Are there any courses in golf course design and architecture? Are there any official degrees offered?

A google search did not turn up any in the US. There appears to be one in the UK but I am looking for something in the US.

  1. I don't know about the architecture aspect, but in the US, you can get a degree in "Turf Management", which is the degree you need to have when designing and maintaining golf courses, public parks, etc. Most agricultural and technical colleges in the US should offer this degree. I know that NC State used to and probably still does. (North Carolina Sate University)
  2. i looked into this a while ago. I don't think you need a certain degree, but landscape architecture is a big one you will need to have, as well as CAD training. it is hard to get into that business without some connections but it can be done. good luck!! P.S. Penn State offers both of these
