what is the best architecture software?

Public Comments

  1. AutoCAD is the best for desinging 2d and 3d. Its universal in most, if not all, companies out there related to architecture and engineering. Although there are 3rd patry software, AutoCAD is a must have. you can purchase other software that'll assist you in your working projects and are often more efficient than using AutoCAD's built-in features. I recently bought AutoDESK VIZ 2007 which converts my 2d into 3d design and rendering, along with video animations. Are you a student like i am? if so, theres a discount for AutoCAD you can purchase. Don't buy the LT version, it doesn't have the full benefits as the original, bad news if you're majoring in architecture/engineering. Go for the recent version, AutoCAD 2007. btw, theres a hecka lot of commands in AutoCAD so i advise you to pay attention in class and experiment on your own. When learning, you'll discover more easier ways to get a project done as you progress over the years. AND have a good computer, with 1 or 2 gb of memory and a fast computer processor AND a great graphics card. i recmd. Mac's b/c there best for graphical apps. hope this helped Good luck !!
