Why do software programmers need to know the basics of hardware architecture?

state the importance of hardware too pls also state the web for me pls so that i can do some future references

1. Because when you make a software it must cooperate with hardware, (like accepting input and printing output). You must first understand how they act together.
2. do yopur own homework geeez .. and isnt it obvious since its hardware that runs the software.geeez
3. you have to know how the hardware operates before you can write the software for it. It's helpful to know how much of the computers resources the hardware uses, how much power it takes to operate, whether it supports or is supported by various hardware configurations, etc... It's really difficult to write code for a piece of hardware that you know nothing about, much less try to write the drivers for the computer when you don't know how the hardware interacts with the computer.
