Anybody know any software that can turn the 2D waveform of an audio track to a some kind of 3D view/model?
Hey everyone, I’m an architecture student with an idea but I need the tools to make it possible. I imported an audio track in to adobe audition to look at the actual sound waves but I was looking for some kind of software that can turn this simple 2D view in to 3D model or 3D view? Thanks for the help :)

- Try downloading the maya bonus tools from the area website: http://area.autodesk.com/index.php/misc/bonus_tools/ As far as I know there is an audio node (audioWave) in the package that can output the audio signal. Now if you create and animate a NURBS curve that moves in the X direction with constant speed and connect this audio attribute into the Y translation channel you should get a curve that moves accoring to the sound wave. Creating an animated sweep surface should produce a 3d surface derived from the sound wave. Haven't tried it, but that's how I would try...
