Modern Architecture is crap, what do you think?
Glass and steel which is worst? Why is it all buildings should look the same? Why do buildings persist to isolate us more and more from the world and nature around us? Why is architecture now crap?

- yep! i like the french architecture from napoleon its stunning
- I agree. The utilitarian aesthetic that has permeated architecture in post-war era is sickening. I don't see any beauty in it and find it boring. Why leave off ornamentation? Saying that, there are still moments when I'm surprised. For instance, I go to the University of Minnesota and there is a cool looking art museum there.
- Two answers 1. A lot of buildings built today do not look alike in overall design - downtown Dallas or Houston make that clear. Buildings which are designed to shed heat of sun and provide views for occupants (otherwise why be up in the air) are going to share certain details. 2. I have looked at crap, which is soft and brown and rounded and at architecture, which tends to hard, upright, and sharp corners and can say that modern architecture is not crap.
