  1. I would take DT if I were you. That way you are in a better position to take a similar subject at A-Level. It's a good idea to pick up the essentials of structure, design etc. at an early level; it also means you won't be lost when you move on to the more advanced stuff. Try contacting the recruitment departments of some architects' firms and asking for advice on what to study from your GCSE's through to university - that way you can map you what you need to do! Good luck!
  2. Maths is important, Physics could be good and TD I have worked with Architecs and they are impressive people.
  3. Hello I’ll suggest a few sites that should be useful sources of information. Do allow time for research though, as you may see other links that are worth following up. Remember to review your plans regularly as you may change your mind. To find out more about access to a career in architecture have a look at the Connexions website at http://www.connexions-direct.com/jobs4u/. Add ‘Architecture’ to the search box for detailed information, including entry requirements and links to the registration and professional bodies for each of the four countries within the UK. If you want to check the subject options that meet the entry requirements for architecture courses at a specific university, have a look at the UCAS website: http://ucas.com/students/coursesearch/. Select Architecture, either as a single subject or as a combined option, to bring up the list of courses and then click on any university of interest for more details, including entry requirements. These will often be listed under ‘general entry requirements', but sometimes there will be course specific requirements. GCSE subjects should include maths, English language and a separate or a double award science: Maths, physics and art are useful subjects at A level although many other subjects are acceptable. (In some instances, alternative but equivalent qualifications such as a BTEC National Certificate or Diploma in Construction, may be acceptable). If you still have queries, you could discuss these with your school careers adviser or you could contact the university admissions office for clarification. I hope this is useful and wish you well in your future study and career!
