- Depending on your vision and how creative you are. I know Architects who charge anywhere from $85.00 to $185.00 an hour to draw. You could try working for one to see how much you like it, or to see if its worth it.
- art means making designs and selling but engeneering means buying those designs and making!
- Archetect is a very good career. The pay is not the criterian for a good architect Moreover now is the opportune time as the commenwealth Games & other dev. activities are in full swing
- Architects usually DESIGN the building and hand it down to engineers who design the structural composition of the buildings to make it stand (like calculating how big the columns should be to make a n 8-storey building stand). From where I'm standing (as an architect), usually the engineers do earn more than the architects. As for the question on what to take, either architecture or engineering, it boils down to what you want. If you are more into creating the building and designing how it will function and how it would look like, you should take up Architecture. BUT if you like math and you are interested on how to make a building stand, choose Engineering. Do email me if you want additional information.
- You select architecture if you have a artistic taste and good in subjects like maths, physics and chemistry. There is lot of scope and also you cna have your private practice.Your originality shows in this proffesion very clearly.
- First of all, i'm an architect, I would recommend architecture if you're more a creative, curious person, who likes reading and learning from all kinds of History. Architecture is everywhere, just look around you, and you can see what would you like to do, and certainly what NOT to do. I think you should try to both professions offices and spend some time there to get some real approach to your answer. Second, try to forget the money issue. Focus on deciding which one you like and you're most comfortable with in working a lot. When you find it, money comes as a result. (This applies not only to architecture, but for any career I think.)
