- Many firms operate using AutoCad. Autodesk's latest release is the 2008 version. Also, Revit is proving to be a very popular tool in the industry. For Modeling purposes, 3D Studio Max, Rhino, and Maya are fairly commonplace. Hardly anybody uses Form Z anymore, to my knowledge. Some people use sketchup, but I don't feel it compares to the commercial grade software out there. For presentation purposes, Adobe's Photoshop and Illustrator are long-time favorites.
