major in landscape archtecture?
well going to be a freshmen in college and planning on majoring in landscape architecture. so wondering what exactly do you learn? what exactly is it? is it building related or plants? what kind of jobs do you get from this? kind of confused here. so any opinions about it? your thoughts and feelings?

- My reaction: You're majoring in a field you don't know about? Landscape architecture is the art, planning, design, management , preservation and rehabilitation of the land and the design of human-made constructs. The scope of the profession includes architectural design, site planning, housing estate development, environmental restoration, town or urban planning, urban design, parks and recreation planning, regional planning, landscape urbanism, and historic preservation. A practitioner in the field of landscape architecture is called a landscape architect.
