Differences between modern architecture and oldden days architecture?

- well , just look at the european capitals & The apple NY
- I would say that the major difference is the materials used. If they had high tensile strength steel and other modern building materials, I would bet you good money that the designs of old buildings, bridges, etc. would have been a lot different. Think of it this way: you could go to school for twenty years and know all there is to know about building stuff, but would still be limited to the materials availability. If you were the best architect in the world and somehow you were transported back into time to the year 1500, how would your designs be different? Remember that you have no HVAC systems, electricity, running water, etc.
- Not much difference until they started constructing buildings using structural steel framing.
