Architecture schools??? Universities?? please help?
We’ll here is the deal. I just finished community college with a GPA of 2.90 and I got my GE. And I really think that my GPA is really bad so u don’t have to tell me! I really want to get in to architecture school. Do u know any school (universities) that will accept me with that GPA for that major? If you can help me out that will be really great and I will really appreciate it. **The university can be located any where in the USA** ** And no private schools either because I can’t afford them!** Thanks

- Its kind of hard to say. The backbone of architecture programs is five or six years of design classes: so even if you transfer in as a "Junior", you still have five or six years of classes to take. Your basic English, world history, and some electives should count toward the degree, but you won't have the design, structures, etc. classes. Hence, most enter an architecture program as a freshman and so statistics are based on ACT or SAT scores, not transfering GPAs. Almost every architecture program I know of is very competitive. As I recall, there are less than a hundred (maybe only 50 or so) colleges in the US that have an architecture program. Start with any in your state first, since in-state students have some kind of priority. Whatever you do, visit several schools. Architecture is very time intensive--think 40 hour workDAYS. Visit some design studios in afternoons/evenings, poke around, talk with students, etc.
