How can I re-learn AutoCAD?

I want to change jobs and to make myself more marketable I need to re-learn AutoCAD. I was taught AutoCAD in college for Interior Architecture, but at my current company we use Archicad. Any suggestions?

  1. Try this site... http://www.we-r-here.com/cad/tutorials/index.htm Cheers!
  2. Software is easy to learn and always changing. I would focus on a problem-solving portfolio which demonstrates the industry experience and value you would bring to a company's core business, and take a week or two to get back up to speed with the software the company chooses - which might not be AutoCAD at all! There are some free CAD tutorials on CADDIT and a low-cost AutoCAD clone to train with if you really think you need it anyway: http://www.caddit.net/progecad/tutorial/ http://www.caddit.net/auto-cad/AutoCAD.php Also Ralph Grabowski's "Illustrated AutoCAD 2008 Quick Reference" is a sound investment for finding information about AutoCAD commands and writing in your own additional notes as you go: http://www.amazon.com/Illustrated-AutoCAD-2008-Quick-Reference/dp/1428311602
