What does it take to be an architect?

Should one be good at drawing? I am asking because i am not that great at drawing (creatively), but i feel that if i learned the technical skills i could draw what i needed. I am asking because i always see these high end, contemporary, modern homes where i deliver pizza (working through college) and really like that look and am always thinking of what i would do differently to the home etc. I have taken the history of architecture and i really enjoyed the class. I am majoring in art history--would this be a good springboard to architecture or am i way off?

  1. You should look to get a degree in Architecture. Most architecture schools do look for students with arts backgrounds though. But some of the more technical schools don't.
