  1. enviormentally friendly. Try looking up LEED certification. Buildings get points based and the types of enviormentally safe systems and materials they use, as well as stuff like solar energy, green roofs, buying materials from local manufactures to avoid shipping problems, etc...
  2. Any architectural design decision made with the intent of reducing energy consumption, promoting the use of biodegradable or recycled materials, or improving the overall efficiency of a building in a manner which lessens the strain on local infrastructures.
