Why is modern architecture considered beautiful?
For school i have an assignment and my style of architecture was modern. We have groups and they assigned me the question of why modern is beautiful. Anyone have an opinion or know why

- It's a matter of opinion but modern art usually is an elemental or more simplistic visual concept of what we see or are used to. Most people say things like, "My 3 year old could do that!" They are very mistaken. It is a matter of breaking down forms that we can typically visually understand easily. Hope that makes sense.
- Architecture is judged by those of the time that it is done. As an architect, the "beauty" of modern architecture, in my opinion, comes from the reduction of anything "needless." This is the reduction of fancy corinthian columns, ornate window decorations, etc. Architecture, at its most beautiful state, shows this heirarchy. Beauty follows Form, and Form follows Function. Modern architecture shows this perfectly. Mies Van Der Rohe, one of the fathers of modern architecture, is famous for saying, "Less is more."
