I'm in 11th grade right now and am thinking about going to college.?

I want to major in Architecture, but I also want to include: Interior Design, Landscape Design, and Carpentry. How many years of college would I need to achieve all of these? Thanks.

  1. that is so weird!!! im only a freshman in highschool, but those are the exact thing i want to accomplish. from what i've heard arcitecture isn't easy and it can take up to 8 years depending on your schedule. with all the extra stuff you want to include im guessing you'll be one busy bee! good luck i hope this helped
  2. Architecture alone generally takes 5 to 6 years, and you need to apply directly as an architecture student. If you're not completely sure you want to be an architect, try calling up someone in your area and job shadowing them. I used to want to be an architect too, but after job shadowing, I knew it definitely wasn't for me. And you wouldn't want to decide 4 years into your major that you'd rather do something else and have to start over.
  3. You probably just want to pick one. Architecture is a very time consuming major, that averages 5 years. You take classes that will teach you different aspect of these things. Some universities may have it set up that you can double major because so many of the classes overlap.
