- duh, ur dumb they have diffrent names
- well Roman architecture was influenced by Greek architecture... so they do have their similarities, but Roman architecture is more advanced... While the Greeks have their many columns (pillars) the Romans created a more less chaotic way and used the arch... They pretty much close to the same, but the Roman architecture is much less chaotic =]
- Actually, there are quite a few differences. (See below for a few examples.) Greek Construction Methods: Post Materials: Lintel/Marble Preferred Architectural Order: Doric, Ionic Example (Most famous temple): Parthenon - The Parthenon, located in Athens, was dedicated to Athena. Ceremonies took place outside or in front of this temple. Romans Construction Method: True arch/vaults Construction Materials: Marble/concrete Preferred Architectural Order: Corinthian Example (Most famous temple): Pantheon - The Pantheon, which literally translates to "all the gods," was dedicated to the seven planetary Roman gods. It is located in Rome, and the ceremonies took place inside the temple itself.
