What material did the Roman invent/improvise upon&how did they use it in their architecture in innovative ways?

- Concrete, they used it for roads and the Aqueduct, both of which were so sturdy that parts of them are still around today. The aqueduct brought running water to the major cities, and provided for the public bath houses, which weren't just for being clean, they were for socializing too. (Like a spa today, only everyone used them, and a lot more often then we use spas). The roads were part of the reason the Roman empire stretched as far as it did.
- Nothing, the romans invented NOTHING. Everything that the ws innovative to the romans came from other culture (or at least an influence). The romans conquered and assimilated people and from this they brought their own innovative ways that would be become roman characterisitcs... (im writing an essay on it as i speak!) p.s. the whole concrete thing, yes they did invent that but it was from mostly greek ideas and arachitecture that it came from so be careful on that one if i was you!
