Which is the most beautiful city in the world, and why?
My vote is Paris in spring. Green, warm, fantastic architecture, food, atmosphere. Second would be Jerusalem, but that place has obvious down sides too.

- Victoria, British Columbia...it's even more beautiful than nearby Vancouver.
- How about Cape Town in spring? Sea, mountains, lush and exotic.
- Paris, there is the tower, the baton rouge, the louvre, all rolled into a city of romantics.
- Stockholm, Sweden; it's extremely clean, efficient, and built on a bunch of forested islands surrounded by inlets. Paris has some real dirty sections (like around Gare du Nord and Pigalle) but of course is charming.
- Barcelona.... any time of the year of course ;-)
