Does anyone know of any good examples of buildings built in the 1970's?
I'm doing an art essay on modern architecture and need good examples of buildings built and designed in the 1970's! Thanks!

- The Sears Tower in Chicago - 1973.
- Architects like Stirling, Foster, Cullinan, Rogers, MacCormac and Hopkins were just starting to produce some good buildings. The Pompidou Centre was opened in the 70s, the lloyds building was started.Foster and associates IBM headquarters was in the seventies.
- The Willis Faber Building in Ipswich, England is a very famous building built between 1970 and 1975. It was innovative at the time it was built, having open plan offices, a garden on top for workers to use and there was originally a swimming pool for workers to use in their breaks!! In 1991 it was given Grade 1 listed building status, the youngest building in the country to have it. It was even featured on Top Gear!
- The Sears Tower is one of the most famous. Here's a wikipedia link to nothing but 1970's buildings. You should have more than you could want here! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:1970s_architecture
