- yes the romans stole the ideas of the greeks, in terms of art and architecture.
- after the fall of the roman empire the literates with all the literature available ran to greece and settelled there by making greece and then italy as the seat of learning and it was that time the architecture got so mixed up that it became very difficult to distinguish between the two types
- They did adopt each other's styles.
- Yes they did. The Greeks developed a sophisticated civilization in every way, in science, the arts, architecture, etc. They have influenced other civilizations throughout time.
- Greek civilization was flourishing when Rome was still a collection of mud huts along the river Tiber. In antiquity, Greek civilization, language, art, philosophy and architecture dominated the Mediterranean world. The Romans may have had military superiority, but culturally they adapted everything (including their religion) from the Greeks whose civilization was far older and more advanced.
