What kind of major might one get if they were interested in green architecture?

I'm really interested in green architecture- designing buildings with the conservation of energy and materials in mind plus a few more things- what kind of major might someone go for if they were interested in this? Thanks!

  1. Well, a major in Architecture, and possibly a minor in earth sciences.
  2. That would require more of a knowledge of science, etc. than an architecture degree will give you. Therefore, a major in mechanical engineering may be better.
