architecture schools or drafting?
i need to help find my little cousin colleges that have architecture or drafting available in or around saint louis, missouri. she has had classes in carpentry and that and we are really trying to find her a place because she is in her final year of high school and has no clue what to do.

- Wow those are vastly different goals between architecture and drafting. The pay scale is going to be vastly different as well. I guess I would suggest that if she is good at math and science that she try to get into an architecture program because drafting is part of the curriculum and could always be a fallback. Of course an architecture degree will probably cost a lot more as well. Anyway to answer your question. Some inexpensive (relatively) schools to look at in St. Louis for drafting would be Vatterott and Rankin Technical. I've had drafters working for me from both who seemed to have learned the trade pretty well. For Architecture, I know Washington University has a program, but it would be really expensive. You might also check St. Louis Community College for their Architectural Technology program which teaches drafting with Architecture and could be one way to learn drafting with some architectural skills for use in transferring to a Architectural degree program at another university.
