What is the best renowned school of architecture?
I plan to major in architecture. I am, however, clueless as to where to go for the best possible education. What is the best school I can hope to get into? Any wise words of advice as to how to get in?

- Architecture is a classic pursuit, or it is a manufacturing. In this time the trust of good education would include any with a solid curriculum in the arts, languages, and computer skills. The major action is the production of the material resources. Mason, brick, metals, clays, even tiles are all old school in the entirety if we presume the classic design. You must first of all decide to chose between modern facilitation of cost effectives, or the extraordinary temple of classical private art. Universities would have either, if you must first get a good look. One important note I recall is that the material you will work with does have to be included in your course selections and masteries.
- As of 2003 Harvard was the top ranked school, but it's ridiculously hard to get into. I'm partial to Columbia's school myself, as I'm an undergrad there thinking about switching to an arch major in the hopes of eventually getting a graduate degree. You also might want to look at Syracuse and NJIT- yes, I said NJIT. Don't let the name or location fool you, it is an EXCELLENT school.

I have just finished the search, and Boy o boy do you have a lot to deal with. 1st, it depends if you want a 5year degree or a 4+3 year degree at two schools for a master's degeree (I went for this-more liberal arts) Then........... You have to decide what schools fit you, but the best are: Havard MIT Wash U University of Illinois, Columbia well..... never mind. you have a lot of work ahead of you. Finding a good school is a hard.
- Cornell's Architecture school has been in the past ranked one of the best schools in the world. It is in a great location and they use to have a great dragon celbration.
- Its hard to say what the "best" is. Schools that where high on my list where Kent State in Ohio, Woodbury University, and SCI-ARC, both in Los angeles. You will need to submit a portfolio that shows any creative work you may have done, any drafting work, art work, drawing, sculpture, etc..
