- A BS, Bachelor of Sciences, is a Bachelors degree, just as is a BA, Bachelor of Arts. When a certain major offers both degrees, the BS usually requires more units in the major field of study than the BA. Yes, Landscape Architecture is a career. The father of American Landscape Architecture is Frederick Law Olmsted: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frederick_Law_Olmsted Berkeley and UC Davis offer Landscape Architecture: http://laep.ced.berkeley.edu/programs http://lda.ucdavis.edu/ Good Luck!
- Yes, land scape architecture is a real job & very demanding. Look at UCLA's in the extension program--it takes 3-4 years.
