I want to learn architecture via correspondence?

In India, I would like to learn interior design / architecture and earn a valid degree B. Arch or similar so as to practice the profession.

  1. I don't think a correspondence course would be there for architecture or interior design as this involves a lot of practical training and drawings which have to be done in regular classes.
  2. Its better to learn the sam ein UK or US than in India.. the value is more... n u can get to earnalot more big buckss...
  3. I don't know about India but in the US it is not necessarily required to have a college degree (to get a license to practice architecture). However, one does need to work in the profession and pass the exams. It seems feasible to me that someone would qualify for a license by working for architects for many years and eventually passing the exams by taking a correspondence course. There are companies which specialize in training for exams...e.g. ALS, (Architectural License Seminars).
  4. join IGNOU for it http://www.ignou.ac.in
  5. Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) degree is not available by correspondence in India. One have to attend regular classes to earn the degree. To get admission into B.Arch. one have to get good ranking in National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA). hsj
