I'm an architecture major and I want to know if I have time to do a club sport in college?
I've gotten really into boxing at home so I would like to know if I really have time to do a club sport like boxing on the side. Architecture is of course a difficult major and I don't want to get my plate to full.

- I've been an architecture major for 4 years now, and graduate after 2 more. I would totally recommend getting into a club/hobby outside of architecture. You will want to have the chance to get out of the studio realm and visit something different every now and then. Sure you will be busy in studio for hours and hours a day but you should still be able to take time out for other activities. Getting to know people outside of architecture is great too, because you will find out that people who do architecture, well, love to talk about architecture ALL the time. Boxing may also relieve some of the stress that comes with it. So short answer, yes, do it!
- Architecture is a very time consuming major, between the class load and the studio time. Some people take it too seriously and try to wear their sleep-deprivation from all-nighters as a badge of honor. If boxing is something that you love, definitely make the time for it while you are in school. Set aside the time for it and make sure that you take that time. It will definitely be an outlet for stress-relief and a chance to get away from the narrow sight of architecture. Go for it.
