How did the Italians view gothic architecture?
I hope someone has read Brunelleschi's Dome...It should be in there, but I can't find the answer. SO PLZ HELP!!!!

- They didn't think much of it. The one significant Gothic structure in Italy is the Duomo in Milan, and that's considered in poor taste, being over-extravagant in its decoration. Italy generally passed by the Gothic stage in architecture, moving quickly to the Romanesque (Roman-like) by the 10th-12th centuries, then to Renaissance styles.
