Where can I get valid information about historical architecture?
I want to learn about the influences in history that created the French early 1900's, Victorian, and Georgian architecture. Also, I need to know what the interiors of those houses tended to look like. Also, if you know the name of any type of historical Japanese architecture (like the paper wall one) please let me know because I would like to learn about that also.

- I can't answer your question comprehensively, but I do have an excellent book on the history and development of the English Country House by Mark Girouard which talks about the architecture, the rooms, their purposes and what went on in them. It's fascinating, a good read with illustrations. That might help for part of your question: http://www.amazon.com/Life-English-Country-House-Architectural/dp/0300058705 (there are some other suggestions here, also) http://yalepress.yale.edu/book.asp?isbn=9780300058703 I also have another fascinating book by Patrick Nuttgens, "The Story of Architecture", which covers a great deal throughout history. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Story-Architecture-Patrick-Nuttgens/dp/0714836168 http://www.phaidon.com/Default.aspx/Web/the-story-of-architecture-9780714836157
- This is one where a web search really won't help you. You need to go to the library. There will be an entire section on architecture - tons of architectural history books with beautiful plates of the interiors and exteriors.
