where are the "craftsman-style" homes in the midwest and what is the cost of a craftsman home?
I live in Illinois and I am in love with the architecture and character of craftman homes. I man be in the market for one in the years to come but do not want to make a HUGE move to a different part of the country. Where are the craftmans style homes in the midwestern part of the country and what do the typically cost? I am in the Dekalb county of Illinois and prices are getting high. has to be have at least 3 bedrooms. Looking for homes with the original woodwork, "built ins," nothing that has been modernized.

- I am an Illinois Realtor, it all depends on the location and exactly what you're looking for in a "craftsman-style" home. I've seen them range in a variety of styles, sizes, ages, etc. ranging from 100k - 5mil +. I don't think you need to make a huge move with so much to choose from right here. If I can't personally help you, I can certainly refer you to someone who can.
