What places should I visit in Los Angeles to privately appreciate its modern architecture?
I am an architecture student and will be visiting Los Angeles for the first time this weekend. I want to see its modern residences/commercial buildings but I don't know where to start. Any recommendations? A web site would be helpful so I can get addresses. Thank you.

- visit www.architecturetoursla.com
- Start at Disney Concert Hall downtown. It will blow your socks off....
- in Downtown visit the new Disney Concert hall, and the new Cathedral. You might also want to check out the Getty.
- The Getty Center. It's the coolest thing I've seen in Los Angeles. If you love fine art like I do, it's a must. The buildings and grounds at the Getty are just as beautiful as the paintings inside. Check out the photos, pretty rad huh?
- The Getty.
- Yeah, Walt Disney Concert Hall and the Getty Museum. How about these too: -Performing Arts High School #9 by Coop Himmelb(l)au -Right across the highway: Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels by Moneo -The Schindler House -Caltrans District 7 HQ by Morphosis (Thom Mayne)!! -Ennis House by FLW -Lovell House by Neutra -LA Eyeworks by Neil Denari -The Eames' House -More Gehry: his own house... -Office dA's Helios Gas Station By no means an exhaustive list. I've linked to all projects below.
