How to get residential architecture projects?
So the many many small firms that I have worked for, am working for is suffering because of lack of jobs. I don't know how people look for architects when they decide they want to remodel their home or get a new house. How do architects get residential projects? It seems like a year ago, they just sat around and waited for the phones to ring... and that doesn't seem to work any more.

- It comes down to networking. We survive by referrals from our clients, peers, builders and sales/real estate agents. Especially in these lean times, many architects are discovering how important customer service is. During the banner years, we quickly forgot about maintaining relationships with all parties that helped us in the past. Like everyone in our industry in the US, we're rediscovering how to build up relationships.
