how to convince my parents that i NEED a laptop?
so im going away to college in like 2 weeks and i NEED laptop! im majoring in landscape architecture and i know that we use a coputer very often, and apparently for my math class as well i want to avoid having to go to the compuer lab/library very often so i'd like to get my own laptop i dont have a job and idk if i have any credit so i wanna ask my paretns to help me buy it i am planning on using some financial aid money to pay it off and hopefully get a job to pay it too so all i wanna ask is that they help me buy it now CAN I FINANCE IT MYSELF? [IM 18...ALMOST 19] HOW CAN I CONVINCE THEM THAT I NEED IT? my mom's not very thrilled about the whole college thing =/ so its not like she cares much =/

- When did you decide to go to college? Yesterday? You should have been saving for a laptop. At least a few bucks would show your parents that you are trying to be responsible and trying to help them to help you. If you can't be bothered to try to help yourself, than don't expect your parents to jump for joy, in this economic market of today. Good Luck. Have your parents read my answer and see if they agree.
