Can somebody post here the best articles about modern construction and architecture?

I am writing an elective on the topic "What is the difference between ideas and reality, in the concept of what can be imagined and what can actually be built after that?" And honestly I am stuck right now. If you post me some articles about construction and architecture maybe it will help me. Or give me some ideas. Specially on BIG building projects that were changed in their development cause of problems. Thank you!

  1. Look at Architects such as Frank Gehry, Zaha Hadid and Coop Himmelblau. They have been described as deconstructivist architects and they create fantastic, free flowing forms that seem to defy gravity and look out of this world. Zaha Hadid has very organic designs and has designed alot of buildings in Dubai and is designing an amazing aquatic centre for the London Olympics. Frank Gehry built the Stata complex at MIT and they had major problems with the design, materials, weather proofing and cost. It became a big problem and MIT were suing him over it. The building is awesome though. Check out their work and related stories about them and you may find some info to help you out. Hope this helps...
