I want to start my own architecture firm. Should I start by working from home?

It would keep my expenses low, but it's hard to have people work for you when they have to come to your house. Should I take the leap and rent an office?

  1. Rent an office! As an architecture firm, you will be bringing clients in for various meetings and they will most likely not have much faith in you as a professional if you can't even rent an appropriate office. In addition, your office rent should be very minimal as an expense compared to the astronomical liability insurance you are going to need.
