How is the architecture and symbolism of the temple very similar to modern chapels?

- The architecture and symbolism of the temple are very different from chapels. They have totally different functions. Solomons temple had a Holy of Holies where the prophet could converse with the Lord. I only know of one modern temple that has a Holy of Holies, and it is located in Salt Lake City. King Solomons temple had a font that was built on the backs of twelve oxen. The oxen represent the twelve tribes of Israel, and the only temples that have similar fonts, are the temples of the Mormons. Temples were built for the observance of certain holy rituals, not for sabbath worship or Sunday school. It is hard to come up with any meaningful similarity.
