looking to pursue a career in architecture?

i am hoping to pursue a career in architecture, homes and large buildings (malls, etc.) while choosing courses for my last year in highschool i am asking your opinion on A) is architecture a good field to get into ( large amound of jobs ) B) what would someone who has already pursued this career say are the must prerequisite courses

  1. You can be very successful in architecture....or not. There are plenty of unsuccessful architects. Many junior architects work for years for successful ones as their careers as well. IT is a very hard business because it is cyclical in nature, and cutthroat for bids. It takes talent to be good. You would go to a college with an architect program and take the step wise courses. In high school, take drawing, perspective (if you can), and algebra. Be sure you can read & write well as you will need to do proposals & and bids and they should be well-written.
