Public Comments

  1. Malorie Blackman (Noughts and Crosses) Mark Robson (Imperial Spy) don't have another :( how about Roald Dahl (Matilda)? dunno :/
  2. Laura Griffin (One Last Breath) Sue Grafton (A is for Alibi) Nora Roberts (Carolina Moon)
  3. I know you only asked for three, but I couldn't stop myself! Audrey Niffenegger (The Time Traveler's Wife) Philippa Gregory (The Other Boleyn Girl) Tracy Chevalier (The Girl With the Pearl Earring) John Irving (A Prayer for Owen Meany) Jennifer Weiner (Good In Bed)
  4. Ben Marcus (The Age of Wire and String) Chris Ware (Jimmy Corrigan the Smartest Kid on Earth) Pope Brock (Charlatan: America's Most Dangerous Huckster, the Man Who Pursued Him, and the Age of Flimflam) dave eggers is great btw. cant say i have read any of the other 2.
  5. Can I still consider Kurt Vonnegut contemporary? George Saunders (Civilwarland In Bad Decline) Margaret Atwood (The Handmaid's Tale) Will Self (The Quantity Theory of Insanity) Two authors I love who died recently are Janet Frame (2004) and Marguerite Duras (1996...well sort of recently.) They are both still in print, still read, still discussed, respected and relevant so I loosely consider them contemporary.
  6. Tom Clancy (Red Storm Rising) Jeff Shaara (Gods And Generals) David Poyer (The Circle)
