Could someone give me an example of of a Mannerist architecture building in Houston Texas?

Public Comments

  1. I'd be surprised if there were any. Mannerist design was a style in painting, architecture, and sculpture pretty much confined to the 16th and early 17th centuries in Europe. However, you might look for examples of post-modernist architecture in Houston as reflective of a "new mannerism," as described by the first essay below, or see the Robert Venturi/Denise Scott Brown book on the second site. You're looking, to use Venturi's own terms, for examples of unusual complexity and contradiction in design.
