I don't know what to choose between Architecture and Interior Design. Help?

Okay, I dont know what to choose between these. I want to take Architecture because of the high salary, however, I love Interior because it's my interest. My heart is on Interior but my mind is on Archi. Now Im really confused because I don't want to spend many years for the Archi. I'm also scared on taking up Archi because I might lose my Dean's List award (an award received by the top students of the batch who achieved a high GPA every semester).

  1. What if I told you Architects do not make a lot of money for the first 5 yrs. Would that change your mind and sway you more towards Interior Design? It sounds like your passion is in the interior design. I promise it you do what you are passionate about, the money will come. A few colleges here offer a degree in Interior Architecture. It is a specialty in the School of Architecture. That may be your best bet.
  2. I trained as an architect and have never regretted it. If you are an architect you can also practice in interior design - but (usually) not vice versa. Most courses allow you to graduate and then go back for a further degree - a lot of people switch at this point to do related activities (whihc would include interiors) The salary is only part of the story - you should look to enjoy what it is you are doing - no point in being paid a lot to be miserable all day long.
  3. Interior design is better. Architecture es more difficult
