What are creative ideas to include in an interior design portfolio for university/college admission?

I am really frustrated about making my portfolio for university. I have the marks I need but I and stuck for the portfolio. I am not sure what to include in an interior design portfolio, im guessing some CAD drawings, but of what? and some art drawings too? I am so unsure i want to make it really good and creative, some ideas and tips please?

  1. well i am by no means a professional, or someone who would know, but i'll give you a personal opinion. Seeing as you're going for interior design, DEFINETLY include your best designs for multiple rooms, and show a variety in style! Maybe ask people what kind of room they would like, and try and sketch something that would work for their living space in order to show that not ONLY can you design, but you can design off of others interests! I would suggest some color drawings if possible, and if you do have drawing talent, make those sketches as impressive as possible!!! As for personal art drawings, i might put in one or two, but make sure they're your best! These will help show you're unique style and personality, as well as that you have more than one talent! Like i said, i'm not a pro. AT all. seriously. no. But, these are my personal thoughts, and i hope they helped some.
