Do they teach you how to design buildings in traditional styles in architecture courses nowadays?

... or you study pre-20th century styles just for the sake of enriching your art history knowledge, but you're never taught how they're actually made? I'm asking because I want to know whether studying architecture in college is worth it, since I'm not at all interested in modern architecture. Yes, I know that the demand for anything non-modern is extremely low, but that's just my irrational, unchangeable preference.

  1. we learn about the pre 20th century architecture in 'history of architecture' and we also learn about the construction in it... so while designing, its upto you as to wat type of buildings u wanna design... nothing is imposed on you at college unless its architecturally or structurally incorrect.. atleast thats how it is wer i study! but at college modern architecture designs are prefered above traditional styles by most people. personally i love traditional designs too!
