  1. My interpretation is as follows: They want you to take historic symbols and compare them to that of the modern day identities. How did these works of art influence us. For example, you see ancient roman columns of architecture, and in houses constructed in this day and age, they have those columns, in a small version. Perhaps I am wrong, either way good luck!
  2. Write about how art of a long time ago makes us feel special because of the art. Like, a very old building in Italy makes Italy feel special, because only they have that building.
  3. Example. Think of Buddha(sorry if I mispelled). His painting, statues and the temples built around him. How is buddha viewed then? Compare that to how he is viewed now and hoow people worship him. That would be an idea of religion identity. Architect. We'll keep our eyes with China and bring Japan in. Think about how the temples and homes were back in...the fuedal era, or the Chang Dynasty. You look at China and Japan now and some of their greatest buildings are focused on tradition and honor. Any more questions? You can send me a messae on my e-mail. good luck
  4. 1. ancient works of art and architecture (building design) were expressions of a culture's national identity (patriotism/ nationalism) A culture could identify with and take pride in their unique artistic designs. Also, religious ideas were expressed in a similar way through art and architecture. Basically ALL ancient art and architecture can be related to either nationalistic or religious ideas. Ancient music and literature pretty much all related to nationalistic and religious ideas as well. 2. How do we express our nationalism and religious identity today? Art and architecture are used to do this, but there is an lot of art and architecture that is not related to religion or nationalism. I would say that there is much more non-religious or non-nationalistic art and architecture today than in ancient times. Good Luck!
  5. This is crazy. You should just ask for help on a homework problem instead of pretending your english skills are so bad. Either you're pretending to be Chinese, and are a racist, or you are Chinese and you are insulting other people from your country...making you a racist. Just ask for help. BTW, those of you who think I am crazy, check his other posts.
