Need advice deciding on my major?
I am a freshmen in college and I need help deciding on a major. The majors that I am interested in are somewhat different from each other, being: Engineering Technology, Graphic Design, Architecture, Interior Design, Advertisement/Marketing. My vision is to be creative in whatever I choose to do, while also having the feeling of making a difference. I have past experience in graphic design just doing it in my free time, but I stopped a few years ago. I am also talented at drawing and have always like creating or designing something. I also like being active. I am trying to learn about the majors that interest me but my fear is deciding on something that I will not be happy with and being stuck with it. All advice is apreciated, especially if anyone has experience with the majors or situation I am in. Thanks

- wow, those are pretty different. Something to think about is what sort of job specifically you would be interested in with each of those degrees, and what sort of working conditions you are looking for. Experience is an important thing, try to get a job/internship/volunteer in different job areas and find what you like and don't like. You don't have to decide immediately and you can always change your major. Granted too much indecision may set you back somewhat, but what's an extra semester of school over being stuck with a job that makes you miserable right? This would be a good thing to talk to a counselor about, I imagine your university probably has general studies counselors who can help you out, and there may be some workshops through the counseling office specifically about choosing the right major for you. I'm a biomedical science major so I can't comment on any of those majors specifically however. Good luck to you
