- Most churches do not have an entry fee, but most usually have a box or person who asks if you are willing to give a donation to help the church maintain its property and building so more people can enjoy it. For example, St. Joesph's Oratory is one that you can go into on most days or evenings free of charge. However, they do have a gift shop with all proceeds going to the church, and a box where you can make a donation. The view of the main hall is spectacular! As for museums, most have some sort of entry fee, but they are usually not that expensive ($5 or $10) and some are free for kids under 12 or even for adults on designated days of the year. I recommend you check out the website below. They may be able to tell you when some of the museums are open and when they offer free visits. http://www.go-montreal.com/attraction_museums.htm

- I dont think you have to pay for the churches. (although one of them you did I can't remember which one) the st joseph oratory you don't either and one of the art museums you don't have to pay eithre (I can't remember which one I think its the musee des beaux arts) thats all i know but i think you should call. also, some museums have som parts free but others that you have to pay.
