NROTC and Interior Design/Architecture degree.......?
I want to do NROTC in college and i know there are the tiers (majors/minors) that include a certain range of degrees, but i want to have a degree in Interior Design/Architecture, will i be able to get my degree in Interior design and also do NROTC? thanks for the answers in advance! =]

- Don't ask, Don't tell.
- you can do the first 2 years. but in order to be contracted/eligible for a commission you can ONLY get a degree in certain fields. the ROTC office will tell you what those fields are. I highly doubt the one you want is eligible. Navy wants High tech degrees like Engineering and computer science. at the very least you will require higher maths like calc and calc based physics.
- Probably not. Interior Design/Architecture has no real value to the Navy as a major. So, it's not going to be encouraged for you to pursue. Even worse, it takes a long time (at least for architecture), so you'd be looking at 5 years in college, which the NROTC unit will NOT like (unless you are spending it getting an engineering degree, you are supposed to get your degree in four years). You're going to be pushed really hard to change your majors if you stick with Interior Design/Architecture, and the unit probably won't provide you enough time to balance your school/battalion obligations.
