Do you think it's a shame that the majority of modern buildings are ugly, characterless monoliths?

Or do you not get sentimental about architecture? Nota bene, I did say "most" - I know there are some splendid examples out there. ... (((((((AC)))))))) Yeah I like watching it for sure. It's never really publicised or even on much over here though. ..

  1. Yes, but this isn't really a religious question. You should have mentioned something about the gothic architecture of English churches being cool or something. There is 'some' cool modern architecture though. The worst stuff came from the 70's... that was awful.

  5. I think rogers place looks awesome (vancouver) or maybe its just the awesome hockey players plastered all around
  6. I agree. The worst is the Post Structuralist style, the sight of which can cause vomiting. Give me a Victorian Gothic mansion any day.

  8. The Bauhaus movement started that crap in Germany in the 1920's, and it eventually came over to America. I personally don't like it. All the artistry and grandiosity is gone.

Seals and Prince Charles sitting in a tree, k i s s i n g :-) Seriously I agree, the desire and motive in my travel (when I can) is to see beautiful architecture and the grub of course.

  12. Yes sir, I do. I love the historic parts of towns. The brick barn and glass slab approach never arouses interest no matter how much landscaping you do. At least, paint them different colors...
  13. I like the older buildings. In Glasgow it is much nicer walking in the centre with all the Victorian buildings rather than the newer ones
